The Dog House Multihold is the third version of this classic from Pragmatic Play. The original, the regular The Dog House, became best known for the multiplying wilds that stayed in the bonus. Successor The Dog House Multiways added lots of paylines and an extra type of wild.

The playfield of The Dog House Multihold starts the same as where the original left off: with five reels, three rows and twenty regular paylines. Also, the familiar symbols are back on the reels: card symbols, some objects and the dogs themselves.
Special multiplying wilds appear on the middle three reels. These multipliers are 2x or 3x and if several multipliers come into view at the same time, the values are added together.

As mentioned, the symbols are all familiar to players who are also familiar with the previous two slots. The pay table starts with the card symbols, which are worth 1.25x the bet for 10, J and Q or 2.5x the bet for K and A. The bone and the collar are the more valuable symbols, starting at 3.75x the bet and ending at 25x the bet via the three smaller dogs.
So far, The Dog House looks exactly the same as the first part (but with slightly lower wins), but in the bonus that changes. Three scatters trigger the bonus game, with four playing fields coming into view. Initially, only one playfield is active, but the second playfield has some empty spaces where scatters can be collected.
With three scatters, an additional playfield is opened and one, two or three free spins are added to the remainder. On that extra playfield, the reels spin independently of that first playfield, with one exception.
Multiplied wilds that appear on the first playfield remain on both the first playfield and each subsequent playfield for the rest of the free spins. If another wild then appears on the second playfield, it is then passed on to the third playfield and so on.
